Pre-implant Surgery
If the patient has insufficient bone available to place dental implants in a predictable manner, it is possible, depending on the anatomical situation, to recreate and increase the bone where it is missing or insufficient to ensure a long-lasting result. These procedures are always performed in the clinic on an outpatient basis using advanced techniques designed to minimize postoperative discomfort for the patient.
Sinus Lift (Large)
This procedure allows for the vertical increase of bone in the posterior upper sectors by grafting particulate bone when there has been significant bone loss.
Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)
This technique allows for the increase of bone both in height and thickness by using Gore-Tex membranes, titanium grids, and a mix of particulate bone and the patient’s autologous bone.
Mini Sinus Lift
This procedure allows for a small vertical bone increase in the posterior upper sectors, providing just enough bone for the placement of a properly sized implant, often performed simultaneously with the implant placement.
